2008/2009 Signal Park Rocker Review

The Park Rocker is made by Signal Snowboards' Experimental Division. The Park Rocker has reverse camber that is similar to the K2's Rocker. From the front binding to the nose and the back binding to the tail, the boards tips up pretty severely. This board has more rocker than any board I've seen. Pressed in the USA, Signal snowboards is beginning to make a name for itself as a great park snowboard company.

Size Tested: 156 centimeters.

Pros: Good for jibs, although the rocker is so dramatic, presses look pretty excentuated and kind of funny. The nose and tail are pretty wide, so this board carves really well. It's super fun for charging down a hill.

Cons: The steep rocker makes the tail pretty unstable for imperfect landings that would be landable on most boards. The rocker is so severe, the board is pretty silly looking.

Overall Impression: This board was pretty fun to putt around on, although the rocker was so extreme it made landing difficult at times. I would not recommend this board as a jump or halfpipe board. As a fun jib board, it would be pretty good.

Score: I give this board a 5 out of 10.
